"Manager and staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious. Traditional sleeping mat was very comfortable and I probably got my best night's sleep while on this trip. Walls are a little thin, but all guests were quiet and respectful of others. Baths looked great but unfortunately didn't get to use them. With size 15 feet I wouldn't expect any of the hotel slippers to fit. We had excellent meals within a 5 minute walk. Really enjoyed Yamanouchi!"

"Rooms were clean, staff was helpful, location is good. Over all experience was good. Only suggestion is it would be helpful if travellers are provided with shuttle service from bus stop to hotel. Though the distance is less, with thick snow, carrying heavy luggage is extremely difficult. Also request to add some vegetarian food options."
