"Golden lagoon is very close to the Golden Temple (Darbar Sahib). Staff is friendly and professional. My flight was very late and they were able to accommodate me by giving me a room for a shorter period after normal check out for a reasonable price. Rooms are on the slightly smaller size but sufficient and clean. Kettle, mini fridge, TV, hot water etc all provided. Rooms were clean. One criticism, and this applies to all hotels close to the Golden Temple is that they should provide directions or a map of how to get to the hotel from the nearest main street if coming in a Taxi or large car, Google maps don't work very well as it tries to take you through the shortest route which may include narrow and inaccessible streets. "

"Great place to stay to visit Harmandir Sahib Golden Temple. It's right in the center of the action of Heritage Street right near the Maharaja Ranjit Singh statue and Jallianwalla Bagh Park. The soundproofing is excellent to get a good night's sleep, because Heritage St is extremely busy all day and almost all night. The room wasn't super clean and had exposed wiring in the bathroom, but for the price, it was fine. We had great hot water. The staff is excellent and listened to our requests and concerns. Keep in mind - it's located on a barricaded area for pedestrian traffic only, so taxis can only drop you off near the barricade so you'll have to walk a few yards to get to the hotel. Inside the lobby, there are 3-4 steps without a railing to get to the elevator/lift - which was tough for senior citizen grandmother."

"Stay was average. But we had to ask the staff for few things which should already be there before we entered. Like shampoo, toilet roll, extra towel. There were no hand towels, no hair dryer, no conditioner, no lotion and for shampoo they got us clinic plus shampoo pouches. Overall stay was quiet, clean room, availability of hot water, mineral water. "

"Worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. The staff was horrible the room was filthy, the towels were not washed, and when asked for new towel they took 2 hours. People were partying and running around all through the halls all hours of the night and when I asked to check out sooner and get a refund they said NO and would not refund if we cancelded the second night stay. Dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. No one knew what was going on and when we asked to speak with thd person in chage they couldn't even get through and the phone line did not work. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!"
