The room was immaculate and very well equipped with plenty of thoughtful extra amenities to make the stay even more comfortable. "property manager said we had old rental agreement from Expedia & thus check in was 5pm instead of 4pm. also check out was now 10am instead of 11am. When traveling with young children, that was really annoying and inconvenient. Upon being pushed, they did agree to early check in without penalty, but wouldn't budge on check out. Also, for 1st time in any place, I stayed, they wanted you to run dishwasher and then empty & put dishes away. With 10am leave, it meant having to hand clean up breakfast...

"Absolutely perfect stay in Golden! Cabin was nice and clean, comfy bed, fireplace and hotub was fabulous and quiet serenity was wonderful! If your a coffee drinker and want to relax in morning be sure to bring your own..pot was provided but no coffee. Went to local grocery and solved that, but for price overall nice place to relax and enjoy!"

"This was my second stay at Chancellor Peak. We stayed in chalet #14 which is private with an amazing view of the Peak and the surrounding nature. The chalet complex is located right at the Kootenay River. The area is very quiet and there are bears as well. A black bear came looking for food around the chalets a couple of nights. Overall a great place to stay and good value."
