"Great location, friendly and very helpful staff, comfortable and clean beds. Sadly though this hotel is tired and desperately needs a full refurbishment. For £185 a night for a twin room you certainly need and expect a better overall standard. Although I might stay here again i woudnt recommend to others"

"Only issue. On the night of the 12th the front door was closed. I got back to the hotel at 00:15. I pressed the buzzer for nearly 45 minutes with no answer. I even went to the grand to ask if they had a contact number, which they didn't. I was just about to find an alternative hotel when another guest opened the door for a cigarette. "Hotel and rooms were average, booked a double and a twin to be given 2 doubles, then I was told no way I could have a twin as they where fully booked to go I. To my room and find two singles pushed together to Form a double, the. Was to much trouble to get extra bedding to split the beds. To then be told after we had food and drinks we get a discount, but then attitude from staff moaning about having to refund. Average at best but was only one night, food was nice "

"Had a lovely stay from start to finish. Absolutely lovely welcome and even helped us with a later checkout. Staff are lovely and friendly. The breakfast was fab. Lots of it cooked fresh. "A lovely sea view - warm & cosy - small - but everything I needed. The bed was comfy too - nice pillows. Within easy walking distance to the venue - open air auditorium - the sea and the shops. The staff were very friendly & kind. Helped with parking. They were patient. The breakfast was lovely & a offerred a lot of choice. "

"I was very happy with the hotel and staff. room was perfectly adequate with plenty of tea and milk, something lacking in other places iv stayed, very clean all around the hotel, always greeted by any member of staff with a hello at any time of passing. The biggest plus was the price, £40 or £50 cheaper than any similar standard place within a long distance. Excellent effort and nice to have stayed there. "
