"It was absolutely fantastic. Lourdes was an excellent host. Everything was bang on. Great base to explore. 10 minutes walk to the seafront. 5 minutes to a shop. Market opposite. "It was a pleasure getting to Alex's casa. First of all, once we booked the room he immediately contacted us to make sure we understand how and when to arrive. Alex was kind and helpful, guiding us how to best manage ourselves, as we didn't plan properly and didn't have cash with us, he also helped us acquire the necessary amount in Cuban Pesos so we can enjoy our stay. Furthermore, we asked to leave our luggage and Alex was happy to assist and even offer to leave us the room if no one will book it. Beside the pleasure of having such a wonderful host, the house itself is magnificently beautiful - an old colonial house in the beautiful and lively Vedado, a few steps from the John Lennon park and the Submarino Amerillo pub. It's within a walking distance from Plaza la Revulucion, many restaurants and La Rampa. If you're going to Havana, do yourselves a favor and stay at Alex's in Villa Carmita. It's the best option!"
