The hotel has a restaurant attached which is very handy after a long day driving and if you don’t want to venture into the town (5 minute drive away). "Location is great nice walk in to Keswick about 20 mins. Food and drink very nice and a good price. Staff all friendly and helpful. Hotel needs some renovation work but for a couple of nights it's a lovely place to stay. "

"Beautiful historic hotel full of character and within 5-8min walk from the train station. Staff is very friendly, welcoming and super helpful. Bedrooms are very comfortable, warm and clean. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. I had a lovely stay and will stay there again if/when I come back to Penrith."

"This was a business trip and the pub was the closest B&B, I found the staff fantastic always eager to help in anyway they could the owner of the pub was first class this coupled with great food and a good range of bears on draft made my stay excellent. I would fully recommend both the B&B as well as the pub first class many thanks Dave."
