"This hotel provided me with a fantastically located place to stay whilst attending a nearby wedding. Situated within a gorgeous looking building the hotel makes use of its period features without giving a dated impression. The room I stayed in was spotless and had everything I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Being in the city centre was also another major positive as it meant I could arrive into Hereford by train and walk to the hotel. Hotel staff were also unendingly polite...

"Very good staff, excellent safe parking for my motorbike. Food excellent and decent price, I don’t usually go for set meals but it worked for me. Beer is spot on ales. Butty Bach is served well. My ONLY gripe was that the room was 36deg because no one had bothered to open windows and ventilate it. The whole night it only dropped to 27deg with all windows open. Otherwise I would have given it more stars. Also the ‘continental’ breakfast is basically toast and cereals, no fresh coffee. "

"No problems with stay. Room was clean and well equpped with tea/ coffee etc. No toiletries provided but did not expect them as price of room was very reasonable. "

"Nice hotel to be fair and really nice room. Only slight problem is it couldn't be more in the centre of Rhayader. Its not a big place but the pub opposite had a live band playing LOUD until after midnight."
