The location is right across the square from the central train station in Bern, a quiet city so that location is ideal. The room faced the square and was quiet as well. The hotel is very clean and the room meets all of your needs, including in-room coffee, comfortable beds, and a large bathroom. If you are visiting family, as we were, they provide free public transportation day passes - a bonus. You are one gate away from the historic peninsula so it is an ideal location for tourists, too.

(go to the 8th floor common room and use that one) The common room was never busy while we were there so if you want a comfortable spot to browse the internet or watch a game on your laptop that is a good spot. We enjoyed our stay at Sorell Hotel Arabelle Bern in July 2026. The hotel is located conveniently near public transportation (2 minute walk to bus stop for a quick 5 minute ride to Bern Train Station) and close to local shops/cafes. The room size was adequate and clean and the hotel provided a floor fan to help with the high temps (we were there during a heat wave) since there is no A/C in the rooms. Its a great hotel. Worth every penny and more. It is an apartment which has 3 rooms. We were put in the room with King bed. There were 2 bathrooms shared between 3 rooms. but since one room was empty, we were given one bathroom with no one sharing with us. the room was very clean and everything was smelling fresh and new. it was very comfy. the apartment has a kitchen, which we used to make vegetarian food for us. the super market is just below the building so you can get the groceries and cook....
