Downside was very small room size without a chair or table."

"The area around the hotel is filled with shops and restaurants. Convenience stores are also nearby. The only downside was that the train station was a bit of a walk in a crowded area in the afternoon with luggage. It was fine for morning departure. However, did have to walk to a major street for taxi access. "

"Great all around hotel at an even better price. Had a poor stay at another hotel before EN Hotel Kyoto and it's safe to say that it saved the trip. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room, good amenities and decent location. Only things is change are putting an outlet in the bathroom and making the bathroom itself a bit bigger. Other than that, I think you’d have a hard time finding a better bang for your buck. "

"We stayed in the garden suite. Seemed strange at first since it’s in the basement floor and you can’t get a sense of what time it is. But the garden wall grew on us and we liked the nature and the solitude. The onset was on that floor and that was such a plus we didn’t even know we’d get. Plus the coin laundry was so great to have and we love the breakfast in the morning. Most of all the location is perfect and the staff spoke English and was super helpful. "

"What a fantastic location in between Gion/Ysaka shirine and Nishiki market! And very convenient by short bus ride to Kyoto Station. The daily breakfast, for a small cost, was amazing! Our room was comfortable and just large enough for the two of us. The entire staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. Definitely stay here again."
