"Excellent Location, Terrible Accommodations
A very mixed review! We traveled from the United States and expected basic hotel standards.
Location: Absolutely perfect! Right in the heart of everything, just minutes from shops, restaurants, and main squares.
Staff: Extremely friendly, unless you need help with your luggage. That's apparently not something they do.
Rooms: Absolutely terrible! The hotel is literally falling apart. Rooms are outdated and feel unclean. The mattresses are so worn...
"Stampelle molte sporche, vetri delle finestre deboli si sentiva tutto e sbattevano, stanze non insonorizzate. Personale cordiale e gentile. Colazione buona. Esperienza comunque piacevole"
"The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and the room had an unpleasant odour. Breakfast was okay but below most other hotels where we stayed."
"Buon Hotel and Paolo were perfect for our quick visit to Bologna. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore. Paolo were extremely helpful and provided many recommendations for restaurants and things to do. He also helped arrange a taxi for us to the train station. Would recommend staying here!"
"Only stayed one night in a 3-person room. That style of room is sort of a 2-room setup (one big room divided by a wall that you walk around on one side). The far side of the wall (the sleeping area) does not have a dedicated A/C and required fans to stay cool. But the staff was very helpful in working that out. Free parking on site is always a HUGE added bonus with any location in Europe. Breakfast was included with our reservation and was just OK (I don’t think I would have paid for it had it...
"Unique, quirky, ancient building. Excellent restaurant (not open in August). Comfortable and relaxing. The only improvement one could wish for is a kettle in the room and minimal tea/coffee amenities, but that's not typical of traditional Italian hotels. In any case, the continental buffet is great and included in the rate."
"Great location with excellent restaurants in very close proximity. Small garage so include it in your reservation. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Small bathroom but that is quite common in Italy."
"Sono stata due giorni , ho ricevuto un bellissima accoglienza , voglio ringraziare al reception per la competenza e professionalità gentilezza.
Camere pulite, colazione buona ,
Consiglio a tutti"
"The appartment was very clean. Staff was very friendly. You can enjoy the nature
I suggest to rent a car, and do not take to much luggage because you have to climb stairs."
"Hotel carino ben tenuto camere pulite.
Il personale per nostra esperienza poteva essere più aperto e cordiale, non sono stati maleducati, però un sorriso in più e una parola in più agli ospiti come cordialità sarebbe stato gradito"
