In the room the bed was big and comfortable the room was clean and storage adequate. The bathroom was mostly clean though could do with updating. The extractor fan was terrible and needs to be replaced (it made us laugh it was so loud) the shower within the bath was okay but the lighting could be brighter for shaving and make up. "Difficult to decide what would raise this from a 3 star to 4 star hotel apart from larger rooms, bathrooms, TV screen & extra furniture because everyhthing in the hotel was beyond what we expected. Good choice in menu (although fresh filter coffee rather than the machine Americano would have been preferable), well prepared & the portions generous. We expect to go back on another occasion. "

"The room was ideal. It was comfortable, had a bath and shower that were easy to operate. There was a generous supply of teas and coffee. The cosy lounges downstairs were lovely. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful with plenty of coffee/tea topups. All the staff were polite and attentive and easy to have a chat to. Overall, a memorable stay. We shall certainly return soon!"

"The Rampant horse Had an absolutely fantastic 2 nights stay, staff brilliant the room was excellent and served all our needs. The locals were a lively bunch, and they came in all ages,and made us feel welcome from as soon as we arrived. The Pub was busy especially on Saturday night, as closing time is 2am,if your looking for a quiet weekend away then this aint the pub for you.
