"We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. "This lodge is every bit is beautiful as the pictures show. They had a young sloth on property that we saw the first day. We saw all sorts of birds and agoutis too. Staff were very helpful. Filtered water and coffee on endless supply in the dining area. The Wi-Fi on the property is good, but it does not extend to the cabins.
