"Stay was comfortable staff were friendly rooms were clean. Breakfast wasn't the greatest and cost over inflated £12 for some dried out scrambled egg which was the only egg choice, bacon was only streaky type. Biggest issue was trying to get a VAT receipt from hotels .com as the invoice provided by Hotel.com doesn't show this breakdown which I need for my company to claim back. "

Discussed with manager at main desk to see if it was possible to have a poached egg the answer was no as,the kitchen does not have the facilities to cook poached eggs and The Hampton is Budget hotel & if we would like more choice we need to stay in a Hotel with a higher star rating. "Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at the hotel. We were allocated a double room upon check in that we were really unhappy with, but after going down to reception, we were immediately relocated to a much better room with a pleasant view of the front garden. The customer service was excellent and the hotel was full of classic charm. Breakfasts were lovely and the location fantastic. We would definitely return."
