The ibis hotel in York was in a good location, within walking distance to everything. The hotel was very quiet and the rooms were nicely updated and well kept. The staff at the front desk were great and very helpful. I didn't us the breakfast so cannot comment on that.

Friendly staff, was able to have and early check-in. Tidy Rooms and plenty of space for bags and can store under the bed. Great selection for breakfast buffet and nice atmosphere dining room was also bar area. Only slight negative which can't be helped due to age/ design of building is thst the lifts are a bit cramped especially when there's 2 of you with full luggage but you can make it work. Definitely recommend as a place to stay and would stay again if ever back in UK and visiting York and easy walking distance to town, pubs, train station etc.

Pros: Good location, easy check in, staff were friendly enough. Appreciative a window had been left open to cool the room and have fresh air. Bed comfortable and towels changed, which is rare. Cons: Noisy room, humming heater throughout the night, stair access to room made it difficult and elevators are small and close very quickly - navigating bulky bags was a nightmare. The cost to park was not easy distinguished upon booking and also frustrating that it cannot be modified to suit your stay, having to pay the full 24 hours without full use.
