"This hotel has its good side and bad side. The good sides were that the hotel had breakfast and a amazing view of the city. The bad side was that there was no AC in the room and rooms and super small. If you open the balcony door at night, you will hear the street noises and the beds were uncomfortable. I would recommended staying there for one or two night. "

"This is a simple and cute property in Monteverde, not far from the town (as long as you have a car). The staff is very friendly and helped us book all of our tours. The breakfast was also excellent. Our favorite part about the property were the animals we saw. Toucanets, hummingbirds, and lots of other small birds and mammals were roaming around - what a treat!"

"This was a great place to stay. All stay were warm welcoming and very helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. The location was slightly elevated over the town centre so offered some amazing views when the weather was clear and was a short walk into the town centre. Would certainly look to stay here if ever visiting Monteverde in the future."

"I had a great experience. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. I walked almost everywhere, from the cloud forest to a coffee farm (Café La Bella Tica, highly recommended), to the downtown Santa Elena area. I like walking, so the location was fine for me (I averaged about 10.5 miles per day). They have one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. It starts with fresh fruit (banana, pineapple and guava), and then you have a choice of 4 options: a traditional Costa Rican...

"We enjoyed staying at the Mar Inn. Christine at the front desk showed us the map of the city and guided us to a couple of very good restaurants. Breakfast was very good as well. Close to the cloud forest and a Sloth sanctuary. Tip, park at the parking lot that says Offical Parking & take the shuttle, there is really no parking at the park entrance. "

"This place is pretty special. It is a small, low key resort. My son wanted to stay close to the pool, so we stayed in a standard room. The room wasn't great. The beds were hard, it could use a refresh, the air conditioner was loud, and there was no soundproofing. If we had picked one of the bungalows or treehouses, I likely would have given the place 5 stars. It is a nice alternative away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna but still close to lots of attractions. "

"Beautiful location, stunning mountain views and the clouds just roll on in to your balcony. Walking distance to some cool places and restaurants. They have a good shuttle service to the forest. Only feedback is some of the staffs attitudes, 2 of the employees were helpful, friendly and kind. The rest seemed snobby and almost judgemental. Could've been 5 stars if it weren't for that. We were WELL AWARE of our checkout time, yet walked by the front desk and stated we are going to pack. 5 minutes...

"The property and experience were unforgettable. It all started with the most hospitable and helpful host, Emel. He made us feel welcome and even helped us get pizza delivery to the glamping tent. The tent is immaculate and the perfect window to the amazing greens and blues that mark the gorgeous horizon. The bathrooms and showers were flawless and kept you integrated with nature. I will remember this place forever and ever!"
