"This was a lovely hotel with staff who were so friendly and helpful. It is a short walk from Villandry chateau, but was still very peaceful and quiet. They offer beautiful food for breakfast and dinner, which is extra, but was delicious and all locally sourced. This place was a real gem. "

"We booked a romantic room but instead received the key of a completely different room. It wasn’t expected. The bed was comfortable but the bedroom atmosphere was cold. I would suggest to install some draperies and a large rug to make it more appealing at least. We enjoyed the breakfast and service in the morning. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday but we made reservations at a lovely restaurant down the street called vert vert. It was excellent."

"This was a lovely, relaxed hotel with lots to do for the whole family. Tennis, golf, driving range, mini golf, volleyball etc and even a mini farm, horse riding and games room. Events such as walks and an outdoor cinema. Great breakfast with local produce, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. My son left his sunglasses behind and they were also kind enough to send them home to us!! "

"The hotel is on a pedestrian street with limited vehicular access but the availability of parking in the garage was a bonus. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms are well appointed and cleanliness is of the highest standard "

"We really liked this very pretty and comfortablel hotel, we had a lovely time there, the pool was a welcome sight as it was hot while were there. The room was comfortable and very clean with a good shower etc. The restaurant was also really good. A special thank you to the ladies on reception for being so welcoming and helpful. We hope to return again soon. A small thing that would be nice in the room would be tea/coffee making facilities. We highly recommended this hotel."

"Our stay at the hotel was perfect from start to finish. The owners are super friendly and offered plenty of advice about the surrounding area, and tips on recommended places to visit. The attention to detail on the decor of the whole property gives a truly comforting & relaxed feel. The hotel is in a great location within a short 5-10 minute walk in to Chinon centre. I would highly recommend this property."

"Amazing value for money and location. Really well equipped apartments, spacious balcony and comfy beds. Kitchen didn't have any spare space for storing shopping to make the most of the self catering aspect, but we worked around it. Our apartment overlooked the car park but in fact, it was really quiet, not overlooked by other guests and our balcony had a grear view of the fortress."
