At the time of checkout, the receptionist, Babul, attempted to charge me additional money, claiming that the hotel’s rate was higher than what I had already paid through Expedia. However, my booking was fully prepaid via credit card, and I had a valid invoice confirming this. Despite showing the documentation, he continued to argue and insisted on collecting the difference. This situation escalated unnecessarily and delayed me for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. At one point, I was even prevented from leaving the hotel, which was extremely stressful as I had a flight to catch. Only after I firmly stated that I would contact the police did the situation change, and eventually, a supervisor intervened and allowed me to leave without any additional payment. I have stayed at this same hotel before without any issues, which made this experience even more surprising and disappointing. As a legal professional, I was able to stand my ground, but I am deeply concerned that other guests may be pressured or misled into paying unjustified charges. "The cleaning staff stole my money from the room and hotel management did not do anything about it. The room was noisy and full of cigarette smell even the room was non smoking. Bathroom was dated and shower did not work either. Rubbish hotel with rubbish staff. Will avoid this like plague in future. "
