"This was the first stop on our trip thru Spain, embarking from Bilbao. Four sixty year olds looking for peace and quiet. We had driven through awesome mountain scenery and arrived at the hotel to be greeted by George (can't spell the Spanish version) who gave us a history of the area. The rooms were simple but very comfortable, with a bed that we didn't want to get out of! There were 6 rooms in an outside block, each with a small patio area and chairs and a mountain view. "We ended up with an 80 Euro parking fine because the staff didn't have enough sense to tell us how the parking lot in back of the hotel worked (what the rules were). For the sake of having parked 12 minutes "early" before 6 PM on Friday night, we ended up with an 80 Euro fine even though we moved our car by 9 AM and leave on Saturday, as we were instructed to do. Hotels should either provide guest parking, or else clearly instruct guests as to the necessary procedures."

"Top place. I had a triple room to myself. Quiet. Comfortable and close to some good bars. Quite a walk to the beach and Old Town but Gijón bike's make it a cinch. Only possi le downside is that they have no air con. "

"Excellent hotel and although I would've expected a more "standardised" room, i.e boring furniture, I was very pleasantly surprised. The furniture was cute, the bed and room comfy, the bathroom nice and the room had a little fridge to keep things cool. Staff were nice and check in absolutely uncomplicated. "

"We booked to stay in Hotel Santa Cruz for one night and had a nice stay. It was as described with welcoming staff. The location is good, close to free parking and easy to walk to restaurants and bars in town. We booked an economy room, which was indeed basic, but it was a very reasonable price so I am fine with that. The shower was hot and had very good water pressure. "

"Check was fast but there was only street parking if you are lucky. Neighborhood was kind of sketchy. Hotel is brand new but lacked many standard amenities. AC was stuck on heat mode in summer time. Had to open window to a noisy street where main traffic passed through all hours of the night. The safe was not bolted down, unsecured. Hotel was very clean and smelled good, staff was very friendly and helpful. If you paid for breakfast with hotel it's pretty good if you arrive early for fresh...
