"Positives are that it's in a great central location near the Red Mosque and restaurants and a great price. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well and helped me arrange airport transportation. Negatives are that the internet didn't work the day I was there, the room A/C was set to 32 degrees and I couldn't adjust it, and the room and hotel itself seemed a little run down and creepy. I didn't mind too much since I was there for just a night before my flight home, though. Would recommend...

"The hotel Nippon was lovely. One of the old type hotels which has been refurbished. The lounge area was nice, lift was clean,staff helpful. The room was average size bed was comfortable. The view from the window wasnt appealing as it was residential and area not that good. However a 3 minute walk from the hotel took you to beautiful gardens, temples etc. "

"I stayed twice at the Palmyrah Residencies. It is wonderfully situated in the centre of Colombo. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the rooms were clean and simple. The rates are excellent, and I'll stay there again."

"I only managed to stay one night at De Saram House, which is a shame as I really liked the property. Admittedly it was initially somewhat hard to find it, but once you are inside, it is so calm and picturesque that it feels like an oasis from bustling Colombo. I have attached a bunch of photos to showcase the serenity of the place. Location-wise it is also excellent, being in a quieter neighborhood that is in walking distance from very nice cafes such as Caramel Pumpkin and Seed Cafe and...
