"Wood floors in the hallways are beautiful but very noisy. We were on the first floor and constantly hear heavy walking on our floor and above at all hours. Many guests don’t honor the quiet hours. Around the bedside table was dirty and dusty should be cleaned regularly. It was nice to have a complementary breakfast but it needs more options. The bathroom was very tiny and awkward to even get in too. Staff ok, but not really friendly. "

"The staff was friendly and the breakfast beautifully presented and delicious. The bed linens were old and there was a moldy smell in the main rooms. The toilet seat functions were intermittent and the heater was loud so that we had to turn it off. The property could use some updating."

Our experience at this ryokan is complete opposite to all the negative reviews this place gets. The place itself is slightly outdated, but that is part of the charm of this place - as if you are transported back in time. The onsens were lovely and we had a private one in ours. The meals were delicious especially the dinner course and we were able to request a kid friendly meal for our son. ...
