"Overall the stay was very nice and the renovated rooms had their charm. Unfortunately it’s the little things that makes it not a great but good stay. The roomy as spacious as it is, lacks possibility to hang wet cloths. There is 2 hangers for towels but nothing that lets you dry things you used at the pool. Secondly, parking. "The desk manager was very helpful in giving me information about a claim that I have. I booked and canceled a reservation at another Bastion hotel. When I discovered that it was the wrong hotel I canceled and made this reservation. Expedia told me that the hotel had a policy of no refunds - not true. Bastion never received any money and showed me that Expedia are the ones keeping my money. I would like a refund from Expedia as soon as possible."

"Just stopped here for a night before morning flight and for that purpose hotel was perfect. Very easy connection to the Schiphol airport, the buss stop is right next to the hotel where busses go every few minutes. The room was very comfortable except that I had a view to the loading dock of trucks. In my case it did not matter."

"Only criticism I have is the lack of facilities in the room, no fridge, no kettle and the coffeemaker is a challenge to use. Limited coffee and tee, and no real cups, paper cups instead. Van der Valk is normally better and you would expect more from a Superior Room."
