"Nice stay, the luxury chalet is so lovely. The staff were nice enough, breakfast was fine. There are a lot of ants however in the rooms. It also would’ve been nice to know prior to our stay that there was construction going on to build a lift. The stairs are certainly not for the faint hearted. The pool area was nice but other than that the hotel amenities are limited. "

My bed at Villa Thamburu was the most comfortable out of any place I've stayed during my nine years of traveling abroad. "Outdoor surroundings are beautiful, clean and well kept with easy access to a sandy beach. Pool is large and easily accessible. Food is lovely with a huge choice in the buffet. There's also an Italian restaurant and noodle bar on site. I think all rooms have a lovely view over the Indian Ocean. Staff are very attentive, kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I hope to return next year."

" it was surprise to me when I reached the hotel and had to leave it since it is nothing like the mis leading deceiving pictures where the hotel was extremely dirty, deserted, the bed with pee stains, hygiene zero and 3 guys managing it who has zero hygiene and didn’t look like they are running the place which was quite creepy. Don’t be fooled by review and pictures. I had to leave and didn’t get refund so do hotels.com didn’t refund me when I reported the issue in the same moment. I had to lose...
