"The hotel was outstanding. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were great. They welcomed us with a glass of wine in the lovely patio area. The restaurant is small but really nice. Coimbra itself is extremely hilly, but the hotel is pretty convenient and not too steep a climb. Roads are very narrow if you're driving a car."

A few things to consider for improvement though; the shower leaks onto the bathroom floor which soaked up the towels every time we had a shower. The bathroom floor therefore became very slippery, which could be quite unsafe if someone did not have fast reflexes (I almost slipped a few times). "Beautiful old world apartment central to everything. Hotel was clean and modern and instructions were easy. Finding location at first was challenging as there is no car pull in or front desk. However once we arrived it was easy. The bed was a bit firm and walls very thin so heard the people above us. Gentleman who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Worth the money and very safe.
