"A very nice and friendly pub, with great staff. There is a handy Co-op right next door if you need anything, and there is adequate parking. The food in the restaurant is really good. I recommend the steak and ale pie. Service is excellent. The room was clean and tidy, with a good breakfast selection included in the price. We have stayed before, and will likely stay again. "

"My husband and I stayed in room 6 which is rather special. It is a huge room with a lovely oval bath in the bedroom and separate shower and WC with two hand basins. There was also a desk and chair and comfy leather sofa and a TV. The chandeliers and large mirrors added a bit of glamour. We ate at the pub on our first night and enjoyed our meal and the service. "The situation was excellent, the staff were excellent but the property was very tired and in dire need of redecoration. The garden areas in the lodge where we were staying were largely overgown and uncared for which was a shame. The staff were excellent and very helpful. With investment, this could be a 4/5 star hotel given its location. Presently, it is 2/3 star at best."

"The Swan Hotel is a unique venue in a historic village which is like stepping back to Tudor times. Our large room had recently been refurbished and was lovely with a large super comfy bed. Personally I’d have preferred a walk in shower to one over the bath. Nice to have a safe in the room but positioning on the wardrobe floor wasn’t very practical. "

"Quite a nice quiet place but not worth anything like what they charge. There were stains on the bed covers which they came and changed straight away. Breakfast wasn't worth bothering with, hardly anything there on the continental option, we waited a while for drinks that didnt come so we gave up and left."
