"Overall good but still can be better"

"The hotel made me wait for nearly an hour and a half to allot a king-bed room, which was finally provided at 5:30 PM. This was despite the fact that I had visited the hotel at 8:30 AM and discussed my room requirement in advance. There was no senior staff member available to address the issue at the time. Due to this mismanagement, I had to cancel my dinner reservation as well as an important meeting. Room service was extremely disinterested and unprofessional. While placing a food order over the phone, I was put on hold so that the staff could take another order, and they called me back only after 15 minutes to take my order. I had specifically requested ice and lemon along with the food, but these were not provided. When I reminded the staff again at the time of food delivery and requested ice and onions, it took another 30 minutes and a second follow-up for them to bring it, by which time I had already finished my meal. At check-in, I had requested the Duty Manager to ensure that a senior staff member met me before checkout to address these concerns; however, this request was also not taken seriously. Overall, the service was extremely poor. The staff and management showed a clear lack of concern for guest experience, which is completely unacceptable from a brand like Mayfair."

"The hotel is excellent in terms of location, amenities and staff. The location cannot be beat - centrally located close to the railway station or airport. Easy to find Ubers, autos, and lots of shopping within walking distance. Many temples, and handicraft stores are within a 10 minute walk. The amenities were spectacular. Spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, multiple Restaurants on site, 24/7 room service, and more. The staff might be the highlight of this hotel. Every single individual went above and beyond. From the front desk, to the restaurant staff, to the doorman, and more. I especially recall Ruthi, Sangi, digvijay, Smita and Prachi. I’m forgetting a few names. They work long shifts, they serve with a smile. Highly recommended place to stay. We were a large group with elderly persons and a number of rooms. We had the best time. "
