Aarau is an adorable old walled city with a river running through it and the hotel is charming, but also completely renovated inside. Staff was super nice. Bottled water and breakfast was included.

Rooms were superb with many included amenities. Free parking on the street was limited but a nice perk. Just a few steps from the bus stop and very walkable in the old-town of Burgdorf. Will definitely return!

I highly recommend this hotel. It features excellent amenities and is conveniently located very close to the train station, significantly reducing walking time. The property was exceptionally quiet and impeccably clean. Both the rooms and the restroom were spacious and offered ample privacy, even for a large group.

This was a stressful trip for our family. The team at the Engel Hotel made it less stressful. They helped make phone calls where needed, let us store our luggage for a few hours, provided free water bottles, and were warm and friendly all throughout the stay. As a customer, you will also get a free public transportation pass for the duration of your stay. It was very helpful. The only thing that was missing was a thermostat in the room to control the heater and air conditioner. Otherwise, we...

A nice hotel 15 minutes from central Basel via bus #36. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was worth the money. Note to Basel tourists, this is not a hotel located in Basel but Germany so if you want to get a mobility ticket for free public transport you have to book a hotel located in Basel.The room is very spacious. Tea making facilities in room. The restaurant is in the front and the hotel building is behind. The reception is in the restaurant....
