"'Standard' Chinese hotel. I stayed there for one night because it is close to the airport. I would not stay there again. Room stinks, bathroom stinks even more. No smoking rooms don't exist. No AC or heating. Fortunately staff was very friendly and did speak English. Do not pay more than £30 for night. "

The modernization of China has unfortunately seen many of its historical cities and landmarks destroyed. One that has been restored and untouched is the ancient walled city of Pingyao.
