"The view was awesome, but the staff was better. One of my first experiences in the snow and it was unforgettable. Perfect view of the snowfall from a full window wall. The forest looked like a winter wonderland. Best part i was able view the Borealis lights from my room! No need to venture out. Oh yes, the room was clean and beautiful. Breakfast is included! Do have a couple restaurants down the hill."

Learn more about Kåfjord

Northern lights dance above Kåfjord's dramatic fjord landscape where you can kayak beneath towering cliffs or hike to Gorsabrua suspension bridge. Nearby Lyngenfjord offers some of the region's best backcountry skiing, while summer visitors shouldn't miss the cultural performances at the annual Riddu Riđđu indigenous festival.

Took a break on my solo road trip to Nordkapp, and stopped the car at the side of the road on the E6 as I noticed the ferry heading across the fjord right next to me. I thought it looked pretty cool with the mountains in the background covered in clouds. and a ray of sunshine lighting the vessel.
