"You're not coming to Essen for the culture or scenery (or if you are then you've got different tastes to me) but for the Messe conference centre this is perfect. It's clean, comfortable and the staff are very professional. Got a nice bar, and the breakfast is good. I've stayed here 10 times and will definitely return - highly recommended. "

"The hotel is very well located if you are visiting Expo/Messe/Arena... Subway station is very close. Although one minor issue was that hotel was repairing one elevator, and customers had to use service elevator. Hope they finish soon."

"Check in was terrible. I wandered around in the rain for a while before finding the reception area. Our key was there with a note, but because the note was in German I didn't use Google translate on it till we found our room. Turns out the note could have saved us from wandering through different buildings looking for our room. Now that we're settled, the room is adequate. It is clean and well maintained. We'll be here for 4 nights. Too bad we didn't get a hotel with a kettle so I could make...

"If you are reading this review and are thinking about booking this hotel, trust me, you can do better. For example no shower gel, only a small round bar of soap, small body lotion and small shampoo. If they ask you to pay the restaurant bill and present you with the credit card machine, check the itemised bill first."
