"A 2 night break in Bath. Chose the Apex as wanted to collect the duck! Friendly welcome at check in. Had a superior double room. Huge room with 6ft bed. Very comfortable. Great bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Used the pool, sauna and steam room. All very lovely. Didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment on food. "Francis Hotel Bath is currently undergoing some refurbishment so unfortunately there was no lift to the third floor. The hotel warned us of the on-going work before our arrival which was very much appreciated. The staff made us feel very welcome and I very much appreciated the facilities provided in the bedroom. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay."

After a 3 hr journey I waited for approx 10mins at 'Reception' (a computer at the bar!) just wanting to find out where the hotel car-park was while a staff member had a long, long, discussion on the phone about a booking and my friend had pulled in to a lay-by outside. Only 2 staff members on duty, the other staff member was new & had no idea about the car park. Extremely frustrating after a long drive and the staff member just ignored me.
