Great large room that is very, very clean. Excellent location! Very quiet and very quaint. Easy walk to the downtown and there you will find fantastic restaurants and amble shopping. Staff here are very helpful. Great location for those seeing the WWll beaches or even a day trip to Mont St Michele. We wanted to stay longer!!

Beautiful property located 5 minutes from the city of Bayeux. This city has some nice reasonable priced places to eat, the famous tapestry that is 70 feet and a large cathedral. D day beaches about 30 minutes away max and of course the museums. Utah,Omaha,Point du hoc. Prices on site are very high but if you don't mind driving into town it's not a problem. Front desk gentlemen when we checked in spoke good English and was very accommodating.

While hotel experience was very positive, Expedia experience was not so great.

Cute grounds, quiet, right downtown, amazing friendly staff, extremely clean and comfortable room, immaculate hotel recently renovated...all while being extremely reasonably priced. Makes me want this hotel to follow me around France when I return so I can have his experience the entire trip.

I was delayed and wouldn't arrive at the hotel until after 10:00pm. I had not had dinner and called to see if they had a restaurant and if it would be open when I arrived. They informed me that it would be closed at 10:00pm but they would have a salad for me when I arrived. After I checked in they brought a fantastic salad to my room that far exceeded my expectations. The Hotel Chateau de Bellefontaine truly lives up to its reputation. Our taxi entered through the iron gate into a relaxing environment. We were greeted by a flock of ducks, geese and swans. Seating provided postcard views of the grounds and distant church steeples. We were greeted as if family coming for a visit. After a brief check-in we were taken to our room on the top floor.
