"The Hotel is very large in size and the staff were very pleasant and helpful organising a driver to take us out of the area to visit all the places of interest we would not see otherwise. Kurunegela itself is not geared up for tourism and is more your local town. So there is a need to travel out. The Hotel is tired with the decor and carpets needing to be replaced and an overall update required. The restaurant choices are limited and overall the Hotel and the area does not cater for europeans"

"the property is uniquely positioned at the top of a very steep access road that requires either modern transportation or a good fitness level. Once inside you discover there's a lift only from the first floor upward. Had a bit of a faff with front office staff about the fridge not working. If you end up on the back rooms, barking dogs will make you company from 4am. "Such a stunning property in a relaxing location. Just what we needed after an early morning train journey and visit to the temple. The host made our group of six very welcome and we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the villa. The architecture is a credit to the owner, who designed and furnished it himself.
