"Whilst the pictures and description might depict a 4 star hotel, the Hotel Penzance Promenade is definitely not a 4 star hotel.
It is poorly maintained and dirty with untrained staff.
On arrival we were greeted by someone who hardly spoke English and just said "sign please" and handed us a piece of paper with our details on.
We were then shown to our room door, advised of breakfast times and he left.
Our room had a broken pane of glass in one of the windows, which showed signs of being...
"Hotel was lovely and in good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean . We very much enjoyed our breakfasts and also had dinner there both nights which was delicious."
"We absolutely loved staying at the Townhouse Rooms. As Canadians we appreciate friendliness and definitely felt at home with our warm and hospitable hosts. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, as well as quiet. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of fresh fruit. Also loved the afternoon cake! Would certainly recommend."

"Our holiday with my daughter as she celebrated her 18th birthday was brilliant, however I have a few disappointed during our staying in caravan, the caravan was nice, a wide area good atmosphere an so-rounding, the concern is the toilet there is no caddy soap, no rug on the floor, no WiFi. No free towels. But a part from that I love Cornwall, I will coming back again on the summer time next year."
"Great room above a lovely pub. Comfortable bed and good shower. The pub had a wide menu and the food was very good. Also a good choice of ales. 5 minute walk to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Large car park. Friendly and helpful staff."

"We had a good welcome by Mark on our arrival who took time to tell us about the area and transport.
The room was comfortable and clean and had a fridge with fresh water and milk everyday.
Very good choice of breakfast, cooked and presented well.
There is also private parking on the grounds.
The Mustard tree is located within walking distance for the train station and also a beautiful walk along coast to St. Ives.
Also there are plenty of beaches in the local area."
