Basic rooms located within a couple of minutes walk from Penzance station. The staff are helpful but check in may be slow if you arrive at a time when the bar is busy. The building itself is old and my single bedroom was faded and quite crampedbut the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked.

We stayed for one night after travelling to Penzance from Norwich ready to catch the Scillonian boat to the Scilly Isles. We arrived at the end of the current heat wave so our twin room (Room #1) which overlooked the street was boiling hot and the window could only be opened a couple of inches for safety reasons. Otherwise it was fine, although the shower room was rather cramped. The staff were friendly and helpful, even bothering to ring us to tell us they had found my husband's cap which he'd left in our room by mistake, and the breakfast (buffet style) was very good. The hotel is very close to the train station and only a short walk to the ferry terminal, so this is a good place to stay if travelling by rail. It is also near a public car park so a very convenient place to stay and not too expensive.

Penzance lodging near Train Station

This was a very nice three day stay at the Longboat in Penzance. Very clean, very friendly place, and very secure. The breakfast offered is more than plentiful, and the service quite good.
