"Great stay in Oxford. The location is a short walk from the city centre and an even shorter walk to the historic Oxford Castle. The staff were very pleasant and helpful any time I had questions. The only downside is occasionally I did get a distant whiff of sewage if the bathroom door was left open. (I blame that on the age of the building.)"

"The Holiday Inn Pear Tree is convenient to Oxford, a short inexpensive bus ride away. Staff are friendly, and the rooms are large and clean. The restaurant is good for all meals, with a hot buffet breakfadt ad an option."

"We had a twin room, beds were clean and reasonably comfortable. Carpet was clean, not sticky! Bathroom was clean, no mould in shower area, shower was adjustable and water warm/hot. Complimentary water along with tea & coffee, which was great as it was a warm weekend that we stayed. Close to city centre, possibly 10 minute walk, very easy."

They gave me a different duvet & pillow. We accidentally left our key card in the room & had to get another one, again this wasn’t too much trouble & weren’t judged for it. "Lovely grand property awaits you when you drive in. We had a garden room in a newer part of the hotel. It's fair yo say it could do with a bit of facelift but nevertheless the room was clean, the bed very comfortable and extremely quiet. Buffet breakfast is very good - a huge choice for all including vegans. We tried the spa/pool which was really nice too! "

"The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and will store luggage until checkin time. Great location, very close to the train and bus stations and many restaurants. There were a few negatives: there is no lift and the stairs are steep, the toilet seat was too small for the base and it was not fastened properly. It would be helpful to have some place to put soap while in the shower."
