Going underground to clear the view This covered trench (continuing in the middle distance) represents work is in progress to "underground" the power lines going down into the Stour Valley from the edge of East Bergholt. The new cables are already buried but the doomed line of poles still carry the current - for the moment. Meantime, a flock of pigeons have just launched off in the same direction.
