"The facilities could be more updated for a 5 star hotel. Service was great. Alcoholic drinks need to be stronger - it tasted non alcoholic unless you asked for "stronger"."

"The overall experience was great. The staff is friendly and responsive. I particularly liked the food served at Aqua, which is why I was disappointed at the food quality from Carnivorous. The food was served luke warm at best and the meats did not meet the standards one would expect from a reservations only establishment. Maybe you should take a cue from the food consumption and wastage on a night by night basis at Carnivorous."

"The area leading to the property isnt great. But once you entre the resort, its a different ball game. No complaints about the beach, Staff and restaurants. These were all great. However, certain things for a 5 star resort just were not upto standard. -electrics kept going off on our side of the hotel. They kept blaming this on the electricty in zanzibar, but it seemed like a faulty electrics in the hotel. Ive asked for a partial refund for this. But not heard anything. - not enough buggies...

I could not rate it overall a top score because one element spoilt the total experience for us. The beach is white sand, with clear waters, but certainly not relaxing much of the time. With good reason the beach is not private. Given that it is one of the best on the island, therefore there are a lot of passing visitors. The hotel does restrict them...

"The staff and grounds of this hotel are absolutely amazing! The buffet is perfect! Every dish is delicious! The main pool is clean and deep with a shallow lounging area. We didn’t visit the other 2 pools… why leave perfection! I wish we could have stayed longer. Two daisy was not enough!"

"So I paid over 1,000 for one night stay here. The night before I stayed at a different all inclusive for 700 and they offered so much more. At the Kilindi the property is starting to fall apart, there’s paint in the pools that comes off on your body. And for the price your paying they do not suggest or offer any extras . If you want dinner on the beach or a floating breakfast you have to chase them around and might not happen anyway. The final touch of disappointment for me was the overwhelming...

"The stay was fine. For what the cost is, it is a nice deal. The gardens on the grounds are lovely and attract all kinds of birds in the morning. The veranda is a great place to have a good continental style breakfast. A very large room, small fridge, rope "dresser rack', mine had aircon with a nice ceiling fan, desk. The bathroom was fine and large. The bedding was minimal, a sheet to cover myself, but it was fine. I didn't ask for more, so I am sure the very accommodating staff will...
