"We had a fantastic suite overlooking the slopes. The room was of a good size and styled well. Breakfast was good and the bar area and selection of drinks was very good. It is a spa hotel and this lets it down slightly. The spa is very basic and a bit dingy. The pool was also cold. Could do with a refurb in my opinion and this really would be a fabulous hotel. "Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year! "
