Clarion Hotel Real Tegucigalpa

8/10 Good

"My stay at the resort was excellent in many respects, and the amenities are outstanding. Unfortunately, three issues detracted from the experience and left me expecting more from a property of this caliber. First, the guest elevators were out of service throughout my stay, forcing us to use the stairs or freight elevator—an ongoing inconvenience. Second, during a power outage, the emergency generators activated, but Wi-Fi remained unavailable for hours, preventing me from working. When it returned, the connection was slow and unreliable, reminiscent of dial-up. Most disappointing was the additional charge to access amenities such as the pool and beer garden during special events. As a hotel guest, I found this frustrating, particularly since tickets could not be purchased at the front desk. Instead, we had to go outside and wait in a lengthy line to access facilities at the resort where we were already staying. No guest discount was available. I understand that special events may involve additional costs, but overnight guests deserve a more thoughtful experience. A resort with such impressive facilities should offer equally attentive service and consideration for its guests. I expected more, and these shortcomings left an unfortunate impression on an otherwise enjoyable stay."
