Very nice place with clean comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast. Good location only 10 minutes walk to main area. Highly recommend this place for your stay in Punta Arenas.

We really enjoyed the hotel and especially Shakleton's bar! We also were upgraded to a suite with an enormous bathtub.

The staff was always friendly, helpful, and available. Everything was exactly as described and expected. We liked our initial 4 day stay well enough that we changed our single overnight (10-days later) so we could stay here again. It was an excellent location. We used a taxi from the bus station, but otherwise walked to all of our shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

We were treated very well here including provision of breakfast at 5:15 a.m. upon request (“no problem!”). We slept with windows open at night - quiet. The location is great for walking to restaurants, museum, travel agency (2 minutes from the agency that offers the penguin island tour). Excellent value.

Host was very helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport. This accommodation was Spanish speaking only but it was easy to communicate for someone with basic level Spanish skills. Also, location is very close to the bus terminal and downtown. Highly recommend.

VERY clean, a comfy bed, very friendly and kind staff, nice included breakfast. Glad they lock the exterior entry door for safety and security. And then your room has a key lock too. As a female solo traveler i felt a bit uneasy walking around the immediate area, (due to bars) although i discovered best route is to stick to the uphill-downhill road that runs along the main tourist plaza until you reach the hotel’s street and THEN cut over the 1 or 2 blocks to reach the hotel. Gorgeous hotel in the most incredible area, local to everything! Within a few blocks you have a view of the city or a waterfront with restaurants, pharmacy, souvenir shop, coffee shops and the most magnificent City Square right out of the steps of this hotel. Did I mention how Gorgeous it is? But it is definitely a step into the past. My key was a "skeleton key"! And be aware, there are no elevators and the hotel lobby is initially up a flight of stairs.. Amazing staff. So helpful and responsive. WhatsApp was so helpful chatting with staff. They were able to help us with check-ins, taxes, buses, etc. They were just so accommodating and kind.

El personal una maravilla, la ubicación excelente, dos cosas a mejorar: 1) el desayuno, podrían agregar medialunas y el café podría ser un poco más contundente, estaba algo lavado. 2) Las tinas o bañaderas deberían tener antideslizantes, se pone peligroso para adultos mayores, al menos en la habitación que nos tocó.
