"Under very recent new ownership. Very happy to see this hotel back under new ownership. It will clearly quickly get back to reaching the excellent heights of its past ( prior to a disastrous short period of management by the OYO group) The new owners have by already begun to make significantly great progress with the food back fresh and available in restaurant and bar again. Plus the bar back to good welcoming and inclusive operation again. ( welcoming local customers) . Work is well underway to bring the rooms back to their previous standards. My double was very comfortable and had all I needed. The staff were welcoming helpful and very professional. Very happy to return when next visiting the area. "

"Room was fairly clean, entrance under renovation, cobwebs in the corner, staff were fine, not massively helpful, room had peeling wallpaper, could hear through the walls very easily. No WiFi, tv was so slow and only had channels 1-5. It was fine as a pit stop for a night, wouldn’t chose to return. Oh yeah, and only 1 towel in the room, bed was a small double "

"It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay in an ideally located Hotel. We had an elderly Aunt with us who celebrated her 90th birthday here and the staff could not have been nicer to her on her big occasion even bringing over a cake and singing Happy Birthday to her"

"This is a good budget hotel. A former Premier Inn, the rooms are decent sized and comfortable. It is clean and comfortable with friendly staff. It is well placed for local amenities, including restaurants, shops, and a local park. "

"Decent hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast wasn’t great but room was clean and bathroom/shower were good. Room didn’t get cleaned for a 2 night stay which I would have expected but overall happy with the stay and would use again for business travel. "
