"The house was exactly as the photos show - well equipped, clean and comfortable with a view over the marina and the river. We had to call our hosts with a power issue on our first night and they couldn't have been more helpful. We weren't there on holiday so didn't get chance to explore the town or area properly but hope to do so on future visits."

"The home itself needs attention. The appliances all work, yet there are cracked and weathered flooring and light fixtures. The grounds surrounding the house are untended- weeds growing from every surface.The hosts are responsive and kindly. It is painful to me to write this review."

"Location good as we came to go to a family party in Castor. Rooms spacious, furnishing basic We booked for a party of 8, however there were only 6 dining chairs, 6 metal knives and only 5 mugs, of which one had a broken handle. So, provision of equipment was not adequate for the party size booked. There was no check-in information provided. A code for the key safe was e-mailed and sent via text at 1pm of day of arrival, but we had no notice that this was to be the process and we had to chase...

"The location was outstanding and the house was quirky, spacious and perfect for our stay. Everything was provided and the host was friendly and checked on us. Fantastic garden and grounds with lots of wildlife and space for grandchildren to play. Quiet and relaxing. Would love to visit again."

"A beautiful, welcoming, clean and airy hotel, with an abundance of facilities, including a pool and spa facilities. It came recommended to us by my friend, who visits it regularly. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and catered for vegan and gluten free well. The location was a distance from town but it was situated next to the train station (Cambridge North) and buses outside the entrance. The parking was plentiful - the station car park run privately, that backs onto the hotel. It can be paid for online, when you park. "
