"This was the perfect cottage in beautiful surroundings. It was our base for the week whilst we explored Loch Ness and other nearby towns and places. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and homely. The boating on loch Knockie was also an added bonus and enjoyed by all. Catherine was very helpful and always responded to any queries quickly. Hope one day to return and enjoy another peaceful stay here. "

"I picked this place due to it being a good distance from all the places I aimed to visit. Just over an hour to Skye, Mallaig etc and less to Fort William and Glencoe. I was aware that there's not many shops nearby but I was well prepared. The place is spacious for a 1 or 2 person stay but possibly a bit tight for 4. Great parking close to accommodation. There were a few faults that shouldn't take long to fix. Catching front door. Internal doors that don't all stay shut, kitchen cupboard...

"For the amount of money I think some improvement on the sofa was uncomfortable and rather low. The oven stopped working on Thursday and owner called but wasn’t fixed for us to use for rest of stay a token of thirty pounds was given for a meal. "Excellent location with great views of the canal locks. Fort Augustus is a great base to explore the West Highlands. Clean property. Only black mark was the hot water boiler failed every day of our visit. It became apparent that this was a long term issue which had not been addressed by the owner. Running hot water is a key essential for any property."

"Perfect location to visit Skye. Close to groceries and restaurants. Loved everything about this house! Basket of goodies was a wonderful addition!"

"We loved the relaxing lovely setting. The ability to hang out and have time with friends in a nice home and places to walk about was wonderful. We did find it challenging to shower daily with 4 adults when the only shower was in a bathroom off a private bedroom. It would be helpful to put a shower in the downstairs bathroom for all to use. Even if it is just a modified faucet with a hanging shower hose. Thank you for letting us stay in such a wonderful spot."

"Absolutely breathtaking location and scenery! The cottage is comfortable and extremely clean. All appliances worked with no problems. The few times we communicated with Catherine, at the beginning of the stay, were answered immediately and always friendly and a pleasure. A great location for exploring Loch Ness and Inverness. I LOVED IT! "
