Budget hotel so no surprises. It is run down and needs upgrading. Very good restaurant. A bit noisy until about 10 PM as some rooms are above the bar and they kept leaving outside entry door open where smokers were standing - smoke migrated up to rooms. If you have a large suitcase, be prepared for workout getting up to room, uphill all the way from parking space then several stairs.

First of all, the staff at the Cove Bay hotel are absolutely amazing! They were beyond welcoming and made our stay a breeze. The restaurant was beyond words. The food was so amazing and prices seemed reasonable considering the large portions and wonderful flavor. Breakfast was equally as good. If I ever get the chance to come back, I will be staying and dining here again!

You will not find a better staff than at Cove Bay. We can not say enough about the friendliness and kindness we were shown. The views were lovely and breakfast and dinner were both wonderful. We would stay there again anytime we were in Aberdeen.
