"I stayed with 3 small dogs, and found this one of the very rare places where the dogs were WELCOME rather than just tolerated. Room was a generous size. Fridge in room. Full length mirror and real wardrobe. Wifi was good. Only 5 minute walk to the riverside, and a small shop and sandwich shop just a few hundred yards away. Service was excellent. Breakfast was good and generous. I genuinely enjoyed my stay here."

"Have stayed here below. The hotel is a little out of the centre but has large grounds with deer roaming free. The rooms like the whole place are old world classic but luxurious. Very comfortable and surprisingly quiet even though there was a corporate party elsewhere in the building we didn't hear a thing during the night. The other big highlight is the restaurant and the bar. Dinner isn't cheap but the food is delicious and the breakfast is great too. If you want a high end, old world hotel...
