Jays enjoyable guest house

Guest house with common areas on the first floor- comfortable living room, clean dining room and spacious kitchen. Our host was available both breakfasts to make coffee, ensure adequate food was available and did the dishes! Fun conversationalist as well. The upstairs had the bedrooms- small but comfortable with great shower.

I am glad to share my positive feedback. It was my first trip out of many upcoming visits to Aberdeen and I’d been lucky enough to make the right choice where to stay over three nights. What I liked most about the hotel was its location, private car parking area and convenient beds. A special thanks to the owners, Anna & Gaurav, for their hospitality and support. I’m sure to keep staying in the Jays Guest House during my next trips.

The guest house is very beautiful from the inside and offers access to a comfy living room and well equipped kitchen. My room was small but comfy with its own bathroom. Everything very clean. There is also parking available, which I didn't use, though.

Great little find

Great communication from Anna with self check-in instructions, the King room is spacious with a triple wardrobe, dresser, jacuzzi bath (we didn’t use it) with over bath shower. Plenty to eat for breakfast. It was a little noisy in the morning with other guests showering & flushing the toilet so no long lie. All in all, very clean & ideal for what we needed and wouldn’t stop us booking again.

I would go back

Very comfortable bed. Curtains good at blocking out light. Full use of kitchen. Private ensuite for my allocated room was across the hall rather than off bedroom. I would definitely consider using again in the future...so that says it all.

この宿だけではないとは思いますが、この一帯にあるビクトリアンの建物は中身がベニヤ板でできていることを忘れていました。隣の部屋の呼吸も聞こえそうな防音性です。水が流れる音、隣の部屋の声、廊下の軋みで眠れませんでした。設備もとても古いです。少なくとも清潔ではありました。

Mycket trevligt boende, trevlig ägare som gärna beskrev saker att se, restaurang i närheten. Nyckelskåp på utsidan, lätt att få brev från boendet i skräpmeilen. Glad överraskning att det ingick Continental frukost, vilket inte hade beskrivits i bokningen. Trevligt att kunna utnyttja fasciliteterna på kvällen för att umgås med vänner eller dylikt. Nära till fin strandpromenad.

The owners were extremely informative & helpful. Couldn’t have gone any smoother. We had our car breakdown while traveling and got in very late. Anna still was communicating with us until we were safely checked in. At breakfast, Gaurav was always there serving, brewing coffee & tea, and sharing life stories. Such wonderful people! Jays Guest House has many awards posted on the wall, and with the level of hospitality that Gaurav & Anna provide, they will be getting many more. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We liked the laid back setup. Let ourselves in, text owners if problems, then they came. We were able to come & go whenever we wanted. Full access to kitchen. Encouraged to use stove (pots & pans), microwave, toaster & fridge. They provide self service breakfast: tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, jam, butter, cereals, chocolate filled buns. We stayed 3 nights & this setup suited us very well. A home from home.
