It ended up being a much better option: the staff was lovely, the bar and restaurant was great, and the rooms were nice and comfortable for what we needed. And right by the water and shops around the corner. We would definitely stay here again."

"The room was lovely, the beds were comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. The safe member on reception was lovely. Plenty of parking . Nice quality a lovely lobby "

"TLDR, we loved it a lot. Everything was perfect. The weather, the host, the location and the house. We deliberately kept it simple as we have young children. Our host was kind enough to allow me to charge my EV (I thanked her with a gift), there was a few Welsh goodies left as well. Can't fault the cleanliness of the place, the value for money and the location. Couple of points though: the entrance to the property is narrow, if you have a van or a large SUV, you will need to be very careful. Ditto for the small narrow roads that have a 60MPH speed limit. Having a large tractor facing you in one of these lanes is not an experience I want to renew. Dol-y-bont is located only 15 minutes from a Thai restaurant, 20 minutes from Aberystwyth (where you will find a lot of amenities) and 7 minutes from Borth, where you will find a beach. We're already planning to come back in 2027 for Easter. Thanks Ms K for all the memories!"
