"The place is lovely and way bigger than every other hotel we looked before, the bathroom is super spacious and loved the shower/tub setting. It was super clean and the hotel provided clear instructions and super helpful tips on how to go around the city and how to get there easily. Super quiet and great to have a nice sleep and recuperate for the busy days and lots of walking we did every day. Having a washer in the room was a plus, and if in a rush, a full laundry was around the corner. "

The Kanzashi Tokyo Asakusa

"We loved our stay at The Kanzashi in Asakusa. We had literally no issues at all. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. As is standard across Japan, the room was on the smaller side, but we had a Twin room and there was more than plenty of room for us to get around. The rooftop area is quite literally a cherry on top. The view is beautiful from up there. You can even have a snack or bring a lunch up there on a nice day and enjoy the view. The staff were helpful on all the occasions we approached them and were happy to provide recommendations to the area and services provided. We also really enjoyed the area the hotel is located in. Besides the Senso-Ji temple being few steps away, there are plenty of stores and restaurants to explore and we had only positive experiences with all the locals. Lastly, I’ve seen some reviews which state that the hotel is too far away from the station. I feel like that is very American complaint. The hotel is maybe 15 minutes away from a well connected metro station and the area is highly walkable and very pretty. It was absolutely no problem for us to walk that distance, despite the fact that my dad is on the waiting list for hip replacement. That really just goes to show that the walk is not that bad. I will be recommending The Kanzashi to anyone asking for hotel recommendationsz in the future and will definitely be booking again."

"The location is super convenient with two easy subway, Ginza line and Tsukuba line. There are tons of restaurant around and great shopping. A lot of Lawson, Family mart and 7-11. The spa with hot tubs (4 different types) in the basement was such a plus with free ice cream and soba at night. We never tried the soba but I love the ice cream. It is just a bit travel to Shinjuku as it is not on the JR Yamanote Line. Once you get used to it, it was great. We love it so much that we booked another 2 nights with the same branch in Ginza after we return from Kyoto and Osaka. Looking forward to it."

"The room is modest, which is what I expected. That said, perfect for my purposes as a solo traveller. Clean, functional, well situated. The fitness centre is a few weights, weight machines, rubber bands, and mats. Two huge pluses: the nearness of Tabata metro station, and the varied and excellent breakfasts. Oh, and the availability of a drinks machine which provided hot or cold coffee, tea or water any time of the day or night. Tokens to supplement your drinks and food arrangements were a nice touch, too. I even used the bath my final night. For light sleepers, be forewarned there will be noise from the station next door. It’s impossible to escape except if you have noise cancelling headphones. Me, I eventually got used to it. Since this is Tokyo, which has a fantastic if somewhat bewildering array of transit options, I suspect it would be difficult to find a noise proof hotel in the city. Be that as it may, I would return to this hotel."
