"Thank you so much for hosting us at the beautiful Isabella House! It’s super adorable, and we really appreciated the perfect blend of modern amenities with the charming historical accents. It made our stay comfortable and memorable. For anyone visiting for the first time, here are a few things we highly recommend:• Visit the Visitor Center and watch the short video about the town — it gives a wonderful quick synopsis.• Hire a local tour guide for a drive-around. Ours shared so many interesting stories and history that helped us decide what to do next.• Take a guided tour of the cemetery — the place is huge and you can easily get lost without one.A couple of honest notes about the house that might help future guests:The road noise can be quite loud all night long. The house also has some charming old-character “aches and pains” — you’ll hear some popping as the temperature changes, and there may be a little critter (squirrel, raccoon, or cat) on the roof or in the walls. The tub/shower has a fun-house effect because the tub is curved, so it feels unbalanced. Turning with your eyes closed to rinse can make you quite dizzy, and there’s nothing nearby to grab. Once you’re aware of it, you get used to it quickly. On the positive side, having my morning coffee on the back porch was incredibly relaxing and one of my favorite parts of the stay.We had a wonderful time overall and would love to return someday. Thank you again for everything!"
