Disappointed in Addis Ababa

The hotel told me they could not honor the payment I made through hotels.com and they asked me to pay them directly. In the end I was double billed for the same stay. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you go to Addis Ababa. I am a platinum member and long time customer of hotels.com but I am no longer going to use them after this trip. They should not be advertising such shady hotels on their site.

Check-in was difficult because of the lack of English. The clerk assumed I was a transit customer who should have an airline voucher. I could not get her to understand that I should have had a reservation. I got woken up at 5:30 am and again at 6:30 am to be told the shuttle was leaving for the airport. I think I finally persuaded them I was not going to the airport! My bathroom had no toilet seat. I was offered another room which was far better, although I could not get hot water at the sink, the shower handheld device leaked, and it seemed that the toilet leaked. They also told me that they had no arrangement with Expedia and so I had to pay again.

Des efforts à faire pour s'ameliorer

Le personnel est serviable à l'exception d'une personne particulierement. Le shuttle il faut être patient à l'arrivèe à l'aeroport 2 heures d'attente malgrè que j'ai appelè l'hotel la veille et a mon arrivèe. Les environs de l'hotel ne sont pas sures, si vous devez sortir vous pouvez compter sur le personnel de la reception (formidable, à l'exception de la manageur) pour vous mettre en relation avec un taximan sur et à bon prix. Le restaurant est correct et son personnel dèvouè. Si vous rèsevez par internet assurez vous qu'ils ont bien pris en compte votre rèservation. La manageur a voulu me faire payer cash mon sèjour alors que je l'avais dèjà payè par carte bancaire par internet.

Pas de gros soucis dans l'ensemble, en dehors de problèmes de plomberie (fuite d'eau à partir du lavabo) et de l'environnement extérieur de l'hôtel peu salubre et qui peut faire peur au plan de la sécurité

Tirar un hôtel merveilleux

Je viens de séjourner à Tirar International Hotel et j’ai très apprécié. Le rapport qualité/prix est largement favorable à cet hôtel. Le service supplémentaire du bus qui nous dépose et nous cherche du centre de conférence de l’union africaine est une surprise agréable. En somme, je reviendrai certainement à Tirar pour mon prochain séjour à Addis-Abeba et je le conseillerai à tous.

Bonne expérience pour le prix

Rapport qualité prix excellent. Personnel très attentionné. Merci à Monsieur Youssef. L'hôtel a mis a notre disposition gratuitement une navette aller et retour pour l'Union Africaine. Les chambres sont grandes avec pour certaines un balcon. Pas beaucoup d'options de chaînes TV. Le WIFI marche correctement, mais cela dépend des chambres. J'ai du changer après le premier jour. Par contre pas beaucoup d'options dans les environs pour dîner. Il faut prendre un taxi. Environnement pas très sûres si vous sortez le soir à pied.

Great staff, comfortable room with a few quirks like showerhead not connected properly but the good far out ways the bad.
